Pumpkins at Callaway Gardens at Pine Mountain, GA Glows for Fall

Everybody’s favorite gourd takes the spotlight this time of year at Georgia’s Callaway Resort and Gardens with Pumpkins at Callaway—Gardens by Day, Glow by Night. Three thousand carved pumpkins are just the beginning of the family-friendly event, which also features a 2.5 acre corn maze, an Enchanted Pumpkin Forest, and Foggy Hollow, a 400-foot walk-through experience featuring a canopy of dramatic cascading lights enhanced by a foggy glow. Music, ground fog, a laser river, holographic displays of woodland critters, and Fobbles (fog-filled bubbles) add to the spooky ambiance.

A custom-designed corn maze offers family fun

Guests hop on a trolley to reach the entrance to Cason’s Corn Maze, featuring new custom-designed mazes through 10-foot-high corn. One maze is designed to be more challenging while the other offers a relaxed, family-friendly adventure.  After dark, an illuminated labyrinth lights the way.

For those who have worked up an appetite, Cason’s Beer & Wine Garden offers Autumn-inspired drinks and bites. Throughout the gardens, Fall fare includes Pumpkin Chili with Cornbread Crumbles, Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese, and Salted Caramel Apple Pie Funnel Cakes.

All shapes and sizes of pumpkins greet visitors

An indoor Pumpkin Emporium features coloring walls, pumpkin pie eating contests, festive shopping and photo ops with Spookley the Square Pumpkin.

Had enough pumpkins? Live performances by Cirquemania feature aerial silk shows and world-class juggling. Elsewhere in the Gardens, activities include admiring the hundreds of butterflies at the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center, walking the nature trails which crisscross the 2500- acre gardens, flying over Robin Lake on the TreeTop Adventure & Zipline Course, and marveling at the Birds of Prey lakeside show.
